Maksim leans back in the shotgun of the ATV. They'd had to push it the rest of the way here. Something had broken down, and Beta had insisted that they get supplies from the village, rather than simply fix the darn thing right then and there like he wanted to. So they'd done that, and then they'd spent the night there. The mythou who had helped them- Well, frankly, they'd both been shocked. They'd seen it before. Not in this life, but they'd seen them before. The jaw and the eye were hard to mistake. They'd helped them, not knowing who or what the two of them were. Beta hadn't been very comfortable about it, although it really didn't bother Maksim that much. No one had really talked that much, but afterwards, Maksim and Beta had done a minor shopping spree, and now Maksim is spraying cards between his hands, waiting for Beta to get back. He's a little annoyed. He'd wanted to get a fedora, but she wouldn't let him. Oh well. Once she gets back, the two hit the road, and drive on. To Delta.
