Location: The Citadel, Wood City, Woode, Sinis Sunday, Jan 5, 7000 AGW 12:00 am Sinis time It has become a ritual for Elijah, at this exact place - the open courtyard of Wood, where a raised stage sits, and atop that, a stone slab functioning as an altar - and this exact time - every Sunday, at midnight exactly. He is never late. He'd never be late for something like this. From behind the altar, he waits, a long, dark, curved blade in his hand, as his first sacrifice approaches.
She is a female, her nondescript brown hair tied back in a simple braid, wearing the white robes of sacrifice. Short - especially compared to Elijah, who's taller than most - young and somewhat lovely, in a way. But Elijah doesn't see that. He sees her as simply another sacrifice - another vial of blood to be spilled, the cost of his foresight. He beckons her up to the altar.
Her hands are shaking. She's reluctant. Elijah strides forward, takes her by the arm, and marches her to her place. Leaning her against the altar, he raises his blade --
A man, stabbing himself, as a dark figure looks on. The figure isn't clearly visible, darkened and hidden by the vision. Is it hiding? The man collapses, and begins to write something in blood...
Elijah returns to the present with only a small shock. He's been doing this for thousands of years, true, but even so, the visions are always a bit jarring. He smiles faintly. No one else would like to see that sort of thing. Not for thousands of years... on and on, without ceasing. But he can't stop. He has to know.
He brings the next victim up. And the next. It's only when he kills the last one that he sees it.
A woman... a Mythou, with purple skin and hair. Her eyes and blood a sea green... her face twisted in anger, even in death.
This is a surprise even to him - an event he did not expect to see, even with his rituals, his foreknowledge. Some would pay handsomely for this knowledge. He, on the other hand, doesn't feel a need to tell anyone of this. The fact that he's seen it means it will happen, unless somebody stops it, and no one can stop a prediction of which they do not know. And he certainly doesn't want to stop this prediction. No, it's much better this way. A slow grin spreads across his face, unusual for him (he may smile slightly, but grin? Never). He can hardly wait.
Princess Azandra will be dead within a week.

Location: The Citadel, Wood City, Woode, Sinis Sunday, Jan 5, 7000 AGW 11:35 am Sinis time Elijah has been thinking. Yes, Princess Azandra's death is good, but could he make it even better? He calls Erinn - his most, and only trusted advisor - into his room, and recalls what details he can of her surroundings when she died. This is enough for Erinn to know to put a guard around that exact place, to prevent any death there during the week... but he won't. Not unless Elijah asks. Instead, he tells him, "That is Deep," and the exact place, as far as he can get it. It's easily recognizable for an experienced traveler such as Erinn, as one of the nearby buildings can't be mistaken for anything but the Lux Cantatio. An interesting tidbit of fact that both of them tuck away. Elijah has a good idea, from the earlier visions, who must have killed her. Elijah considers his options now. Erinn could easily be sent to watch the road between Pax and Deep, and if so, should probably be sent immediately, to get there as soon as possible. A ship would likely be faster than going overland. Once there, though... well, Azandra is recognizable. The hardest thing will be to find her before she finds him and... what? Well, Elijah thinks, Yggdrasil will kill her as is. Does he want that? ...Or does he want the victory to go to Krolaken? ...Or... Yggdrasil will kill her regardless, no? What Krolaken wants is to regain Pax and Akra. So that's where he should go. Yes. Elijah himself should go. The trick is timing it right. It could be almost an entire week before she leaves her castle, or she could already have gone. The place of the sun in his vision doesn't say much. No... yes. Yes. The best strategy would be to wait in Deep until she's confirmably dead, and then move for Pax immediately. He'll be competing against Yggdrasil's spread-out network, two men against an army, but then, they want peace don't they? And this is how to get peace! He laughs out loud, startling Erinn only a bit. "Pack your bags," he orders, thinking that he must seem a little bit insane to him. And after millennia of this... honestly, who wouldn't be? "We're going to Deep." He'll explain the details later, after he's chartered a ship. "And pack mine too." The last, Erinn thinks quietly, is something he's never asked before.

It started with rumors. The villagers heard of young reckless Mythou terrorizing travelers. Then, windows of a Pine house has been shattered, and livestock had been stolen. Last night, a human had gone missing. Idrel knew he had to do something. Wandering upon the campsite was not pleasant. Kafa had smelled it before Idrel had seen it. A human body lied on the ground, tortured to death. So were the remains of the stolen animals. Most of it apparently been roasted on a poorly built campfire, and rest left to rot. Wildlife had apparently visited the carcasses already. The young ones were long gone, and left the mess behind. Like this was some game for them. Idrel wouldn't let them get away so easily. After cleaning up the campsite, he gives a rub to Kafa. The bear is his only lasting companion. "Come now," he says to the bear. "We'll track them down."

This won't be easy, thinks Rasya as they approach the Citadel. At least they might be able to tell what Elijah's seen by what he asks about outside events, right? Not right, they discover. Elijah left yesterday. For Deep, they learn. Damn it all. At least they can tell Savic this when they return. But it makes for a rather frustrated and bored Rasya. Ah well. Odd jobs will help take out some of that frustration.

Rasya left Wood City not that long ago. Since then, they've just been on their motorcycle, hardly seeing any other passersby. The world is strangelyโ quiet. Rasya's on alert. But going as fast as they are, it's hard to have a quick enough reaction time for the unexpected...

Suddenly, somewhere from the left side of the road, a web shoots out over the road. It hits a tree on the right side of the road, and sticks to it. There's suddenly a large spider's web reaching across the road in front of Rasya.

Rasya quickly veers to the right, then (5) realizes it's a web sorta material. (2) Their daggers won't help, though, and the time it's taken for them to consider that is (3) enough for them to clip a tree and rumble to a stop, somewhat bruised but still alert. Immediately, they summon two black-light daggers, climbing off of their motorcycle, helmet still on, and turn toward the source of the web. An enemy.

Three Mythou climb out of the woods on the road, and approach the place where Rasya crashed. "God 'em good Piet!" A bald one congratulates and pats one of their comrades to the back. They seem to have a red Paxian dragon tattoo on their head, the long body going around their neck twice. They also carry some sort of a spray bottle. The one called Piet grins, revealing his sharp teeth. His eyes are covered with 4-lens shades. The third one is silent, wearing a black helmet and a leather mask. Orange bull horns hone out from two holes in the helmet. Their are tall and menacing.
Additionally, there's a laughing shriek somewhere in the trees above Rasya.

One... two... four Mythou. Against a half. That's no good. Rasya stands tall, keeping what they think is a threatening position. No fear is shown. They know the options. Either they find some way out, or they're at the mercy of these four. And they won't show any mercy, by the looks of them. Hmm. Rasya smirks. It's their turn now. "You are good at working together," they begin, letting their gaze slip to each of the three on the ground. "Deadly... you love destruction."

Piet laughs. "Look at this guys face!" His amused smile turns to scornful. "Yeah, whatcha thinking 'bout that, smart guy? We gotcha." He nods at the motorcycle, eyeing it greedily. "Nice bike."

Their face. Rasya knows they're not attractive in any way. That's probably what Piet was referring to... ah well. They've heard their fair share of comments on that, and they try not to let it get to them. They glance back to the bike. (4) Still fairly good condition. "You're lucky I'm a good driver, else it wouldn't be worth taking." Unless one of them is a mechanic. Which is likely. They still have no idea of their powers. Except the web, which is one out of probably eight. "If you're really interested, I could get you more than one bike... but you're probably more interested in how my bones taste." Reverse psychology.

"Oh yeah," Piet grins. "You're a bike summoner, arencha?" His face turns serious. "Yeah funny, man, but you're talkin' wayyy too much. Now drop 'em daggers or Akish will breakcha." The horned Mythou crosses their arms, eyes staring at Rasya from behind the black lenses of his mask.

Fair enough. Rasya doesn't want to anger them. They desummon the daggers and hold up their empty, gloved palms to show the trio. "I'm no bike summoner." They cough. They've done a lot of talking recently. "But I can offer you... a position. I imagine it's similar to your current one, but..." They hunch over, the coughing intensifies. They can't finish. But.... they were going to say. It's under the permission of Krolaken himself.

Piet laughs at Rasya's coughing fit and so do the rest of them, besides Akish. "Finish 'em Aki, you got this!" The Dragon-tattooed one says. The horned Mythou moves, striding quickly toward Rasya.

Rasya begins laughing too, quietly, as they look up. "I am a fool. You really only want to destroy?" Their voice is strained, rough. "Kill me and there will be consequences. Accept my offer and you'll live. And Aki... watch out."

"Shut up!" Dragon-tattooed Mythou says. Akish approaches Rasya.
(6)
The winged Mythou in the tree shrieks in pain as Idrel's spear impales their wing. They fall from the tree, and the three others look up as their friend falls downward.

"I miscalculated," Rasya mutters, partially to themself. "Now you watch out." And with that, they lunge toward Akish, summoning a dagger aimed for a vulnerable spot. (4) Granted, they're not that close to him, but they're hoping the momentum and surprise will be good enough.

(2) Akish is distracted by the falling Mythou, and is slow to react to Rasya's attack. They manage to step back just before Rasya reaches them, but it won't prevent being hit. The toughest clothing they're wearing is a leather jacket, so the knife should do some damage wherever Rasya hits.
(2) The falling Mythou tries to slow their fall by spreading their wings and gliding, but the injury is stopping them. Piet aims his hands at the winged Mythou, (4) managing to shoot a bit of web at them. They stick onto a tree midway through their fall.

Then they probably go for the neck. If Akish isn't about to fight back after that, they'll bring their other hand up, summon another knife, and go for the stomach. (6) They're pretty fast.

Akish does receive the hit to the neck, (2) which wounds them severely. They let out a muffled yell, and attempts to push Rasya away with their super strenght. (1) But they are slow, and get the knife to the stomach. They'd weakly but (6) quickly attempt to push Rasya a bit away before doubling over and collapsing to the ground.
The dragon-tattoed Mythou sees what happened, shouting. "Akish!" They angrily glare at Rasya, quickly striding toward them, holding the spray bottle toward them.
Idrel runs out of the woods, (6) and picks up the spear that had conviniently fallen to the ground. He approaches Piet, who swallows nervously.
