Cracus
Original Name: Lucas Whiter
Gender: Male
Pronouns: he/him
Aura
Signs: Cancer/Sagittarius/Libra
Aura: Forest green center, smoothly fading to pink edges. A clearly artificial, modified look to it. Smells sterile, with a visual like a black hole, seeming to draw objects in toward itself. Feels somewhat magnetic, almost, like it’s pulling you in. Blood is pink.
Origins
Race: Terran Mythou (Moon’s Cove nationality)
Age: 266 years old
Backstory: Lucas Whiter, along with his twin brother Milo Whiter, was born in 4997 AGW to a single mother who’d barely survived labor. The only reason she had was because August de Luca had unfused from her fusion partner Austin Wentworth (an extremely rare case!) and insisted that the two, who were passing by, help the mother. Afterward, Augustin and Rascathe (Augustin’s partner) visited the mother, Tillie, every so often, checking up on the twins as they grew, and eventually offered to take the twins off of her hands and activate them, to which Tillie, a bit reluctantly, agreed. (This was right before the Matteus Movement, which likely claimed Tillie, but the twins, Augustin, and Rascathe escaped its influence.) The two were then renamed Cracus (from crab and Lucas) and Rilo (from river and Milo). For most of their childhood, Cracus and Rilo didn’t often see Augustin, as they were usually busy traveling and working with auras, but were raised by Rascathe, who, admittedly, was rather bad with children. Rascathe taught both of them to fight, and likely unwittingly helped develop their inflated egos. As they grew older, they were already fending for themselves, working jobs and making connections in Moon’s Cove. But Cracus had an exploratory spirit, and soon ventured further, with Augustin, even all the way to Frost, where he met Vashti along with the older Aurasmith. He saw an opportunity in reaching the people of Seikai (now called the Sea Plains), who had missed the earlier Matteus Movement entirely and with it the wave of Lunarian that now spanned most of Terra. So, one day in the fall of 5016, he slipped out and found himself a human. That human was named Akio Mitsue, and he became Cracus’s translator, later fusing with him to expedite the takeover of Seikai which Cracus now proposed. Cracus kept expanding his influence, eventually recruiting Rilo and a good chunk of his contacts from Moon’s Cove to help him Lunarianize Seikai. However, all of that collapsed when Augustin died, in 5263 AGW. Rilo stole a piece of technology from the Aurasmith’s lab and smuggled it into Cracus’s headquarters, before using it to shoot his twin brother dead where he stood. It was a betrayal nearly no one could have foreseen, but Cracus had anticipated something going wrong, having unfused with Akio only a short while before. Akio was the leader now.
General Strengths/Weaknesses
+ Expert fighter
+ Charismatic
+ Very good at manipulating people
* Very rarely grows attached to people
- Ruthless killer
- Rarely finishes what he started
Abilities
Innate:
- Able to transform his hands into pink crab claws.
Primary:
- Can summon pink energy spears and arrows and fire them or fight with them. He has excellent control over these weapons, his range of effective control about twice as large as Del’s.
Secondary:
- Psychic absorption. This allows Cracus to steal any one ability from someone else who is currently using it, and use it for himself. He can only steal one at a time. Normally, this would use up a good portion of his energy, but when he’s fused with Akio, the rules change a bit. Then, it’s only possible when Akio gives Cracus full control, or the very rare times of extreme rage when Cracus forces Akio to give him control, but it no longer drains him like it would normally.
Characteristics
Appearance: Cracus is tall, just over 6' (~185 cm), with a slightly slim, athletic build. His skin is pink, as are his eyes. His face is round, and his hair is white, parted at the side and slicked back, reaching his neck at the back. His usual clothing is a white button-up shirt, a classy forest-green vest, a pink tie, a charcoal-grey suit jacket and pants, and shiny black shoes. He’s almost never seen without a pair of thin white gloves, to protect him from some types of aural contact, and a gold watch on a chain, given to him by Augustin, which doesn’t tell the time but instead points toward any nearby Mythou auras.
Voice: Clear Moon’s Cove accent, mildly high.
Personality: Cracus is on the border of emotionless, though the only ones who know he isn't fully emotionless are himself and Akio. He is a ruthless killer who doesn't really care about humans at all. He doesn't fully believe in friendships, either, and won't hesitate to get rid of his "friends", allies, even partners such as Rilo or Akio, if they get in his way. He hates the Guardians with a passion, and his ultimate goal is to eliminate them all and take over, though he can be convinced to wait and build up a safety net before acting. He’s often sarcastic, in a condescending, cutting sort of way. He’s also very observant, seeing more things than people think, and is able to talk his way out of trouble, usually. He is very smart, charismatic, and an avid speech-maker. In short, the quintessential movie villain.
Akio Mitsue
Gender: Male
Pronouns: he/him
Origins
Race: Terran Human (Riverrun nationality)
Age: 304 years old
Backstory: Born only two years before Cracus and Rilo, in 4995 AGW, Akio Mitsue was something of a deadbeat before Cracus found him. Not that it was his fault. Truly, he wanted to do something with his life, but Riverrun’s opportunities were few, and he was somewhat lacking in the confidence to go out and find work someplace else. So it was a stroke of the very best kind of luck that Cracus found him that autumn evening. Sure, he had to talk, but there was something about the anonymity of fusion that gave him the confidence to speak, and soon enough, to hold his own against Cracus. He became the voice of reason, and patience, to Cracus’s hungry, violent nature, and Cracus listened to him, because he knew he was right, and he listened to Cracus, because he too wanted to be something. But nothing more than what Cracus was, and certainly not to take his place.
But that happened anyway. Cracus had unfused, leaving Akio alone, which he was hardly used to, and then Rilo had come to visit - and then - and then Cracus was gone, and Akio found himself the leader of Cracus’s people. Of course he immediately ordered Rilo captured and brought back, dead or alive, but Rilo was gone now, not dead like Cracus, but simply disappeared. The search continued for several years, and never really stopped, though the numbers slowly decreased through the years, but they never found Rilo. Akio turned his focus back toward Seikai, or the Sea Plains, as they’d been named, and first journeyed through the major cities, expressing a freedom and confidence he hadn’t had before, before getting down to business and working to turn the Sea Plains, particularly Riverrun and Grace, into major ports of commerce and trade, of course under the watchful eye of Cracus’s former workers, who were now known as the Morning Lights. Despite his work and artificially extended life, he died in mysterious circumstances in the year 5299.
General Strengths/Weaknesses
+ Patient
+ Excellent translator
+ Good at planning
+ Stubborn
- A bit shy
Characteristics
Appearance: Tallish (5’7/170 cm), with a round face. Eyes are a sharp brown, and hair shortish and jet black, with a characteristic, longer lock of hair on each side of his face, framing it. As the leader of the Morning Lights, he often wore an outfit consisting of a pale pink turtleneck, over which was a utility vest in forest green (a callback to Cracus, perhaps), grey pants tucked into simple, functional boots, a belt to hold more items and quite often weaponry, a green hat to match the vest, and a set of gloves, more heavy-duty than Cracus’s, but still slim enough that most of the time they weren’t cumbersome.
Voice: Casual, lazy, drawing out his vowels.
Personality: Patient, somewhat introverted, though later in life he stepped up and took command as he needed to. Hates Guardians and especially Rilo.
Fusion Form
Name: Cracus (usually; Akio is often referred to as a separate or secondary entity)
Pronouns: he/him
Appearance: White hair, reaching halfway down his neck and somewhat messy. Pink blood with green specks. Claws and energy weapons, when summoned, also have green patches on them now.
